I was very excited to interview with this company as I have heard great things. The office was aesthetically appealing and everyone was friendly. I have gone on many interviews and I have to admit that this was only of the most disappointing yet. The gentleman I met with did not have a copy of my resume. I always bring extras, but I have never encountered this before. He clearly had not looked over any of my qualifications because the answers to his questions were on the page in front of him. About ten minutes in he told me that they are doing a bunch of these "preliminary" interviews and that they're casting a wide net to get a wide range of candidates. It's likely that they receive so many applications that they can do this, but it's extremely insensitive. What occurred in the interview could have taken place over a screening or short phone interview.
