Interview was typical for my position grade (i.e., 1 year exp. post-PhD), which included a basic phone pre-screen, a follow-up phone behavioral interview, then an on-site visit which consisted of several one-on-one interviews, a group interview, then lunch with the department head. Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant, courteous and professional. I was not extended a job offer, despite my beliefs that I performed well in every step of the process, was well-liked, and highly qualified.
