There was a phone screening with scheduling/HR person at the local store, then I was set up with an interview with the store manager. The interview questions are all open ended questions to assess your level of experience. The questions were a bit more like they were hiring for management than a cashier, but since they try to promote from within, it was a good interview process.

In the interview process, you must come 15 minutes early and have a proper I.D, you must wear casual or appropriate clothing. You must answer questions truthfully about your personal info and availability.

Ask simple questions in regards to customer service and some math. This was almost 5 years ago. The Home Depot is a good company to work for. They have done well with associates with covid 19.

After submitting an application, I received an email to schedule an interview at the store. Straightforward, simple questions, offered job on the spot. They have a sheet with a few questions they have to ask, including tell me about yourself
