J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. J'ai passé un entretien chez Thales (Bengaluru) en mai 2026

      Entretien

Highly disorganized hiring drive: Role mismatch and total disrespect for candidate's time The process: I registered for the interview drive on 16th May with the option low level developer. I received an invite mentioning I am selected for the drive. Please reach there for discussing suitable roles. While submitting my resume I mentioned that I came for the low level developer role which had a description. Low level Developer: C++, Linux, Kernel So hoping for the same I went to attend the drive. After submitting resume and mentioning to the respective organizer that I came for that particular role. I was handed Embedded C written test. Upon protesting they mentioned those roles are same(which technically aren't). After clearing the written test despite the lack of alignment with the profile and unpreparedness. I was waiting for my interview rounds. I had waited for 3-4 hours due to mismanagement. During the technical round, the interviewer asked me briefly about my work experience at first followed by few basic technical questions in C. Since I came for the profile which had mentioned C++, Linux, Kernel so I was expecting questions pertaining to the subjects. The interviewer asked me if I have experience with RTOS and Yocto. I mentioned about the role I came for and told that I don't have an embedded background which was clearly mentioned in my resume and I had given small crisp description about it in the initial moments of the interview. The interviewer told me that they are looking a bare-metal developer after which the interview was abruptly cut-short. I was not asked much about my foundational engineering or problem solving questions to evaluate my capabilities. I was told to leave for the day by the HR in few moments after the short interview without actually providing any formal technical feedback. Advice to Management: If your business needs require a plug-and-play bare-metal engineer, please filter resumes accurately before inviting candidates to an in-person drive. Do not blur the lines between different job profiles and conflate it without prior intimation to the candidates. Furthermore, due to internal alignment errors do not dismiss candidates without providing constructive feedback robbing them with the chance to learn and adapt. This act is highly unprofessional and violates the very basic principle of fair and equal opportunity for everyone that every organization proudly boasts about.
