Entretien
Very quick and simple, 4 interviews in total.
1) HR screening call, ask basic info about my experience, why Tesco etc
2) Hiring Manager call, a slightly more detailed call with the hiring manager, asking me about my experience
3) Then next 2 rounds are both the behavioural and technical interview (1hr each). The behavioural interview focuses around the Tesco value, e.g. resilience, influencing others, adapting etc. and technical interviews really depends on which role you are applying for, as it is made up by the hiring manager. Some can be an interview to be prepared upfront and some are more like a consulting case study (but not as hard) e.g. my case was about my recommendation to Tesco as to whether they should buy a grocery start up. There are also questions around challenges in the grocery market and what innovative ideas I have for Tesco
After passing the interviews, it’s then the offer stage is. Initially Tesco is only offering me a 2K bump on my current salary, but I managed to nudged it up by 6K, so Tesco really low ball the offer. Very close to declining if they didn’t increase it.
