There is no process...
A normal interview- the potential employee tries to impress the potential employer and that is a two way street!
TTS interview- no one bothered to look at my resume prior to the interview, no one prepared any interview questions, and the interviewers didn't really pay attention to my answers.
Thus, they would ask me to tell them about my background (I realized to fill time while they were thinking or to stir up questions from them). One person can only tell their story so many times...the interviewers need to prepare and avoid the "awkward silence" that shows their unprofessionalism.
One guy was surfing his computer while asking me questions, again unprofessional, about the ADDIE model for Instructional Design...I think he was looking up the ADDIE model cause he had no idea what it was, but knew enough to ask me about it. Funny thing, he was in the room with the previous guy who had asked me about the ADDIE model, then he asked me again in his office.
The interview was for a Technical Writer, but the job description is misleading....they want a candidate with Technical Writing, Instructional Design, Graphic Artists skills, and other education/skill sets that may be pertinent to the position...all that for 50K???
