      Entretien pour Promotions Coordinator

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Tech Marketing Group (Richmond, VA) en déc. 2018

      Entretien

The interview was brief and casual, the manager, Klint, explained there would be a round of interviews and this was a getting to know you stage. The first red flag came when I applied to a job with "Capital City Inc." (doesn't exist in Richmond), and was contacted by, Tech Marketing Group. I assume this is due to the litany of negative reviews and warnings you find here and on Google reviews. The actual interview was just weird. Other than asking why I applied to the position, the process consisted of listening to a relatively rehearsed monologue from Klint explaining how he was in my seat about a year ago. Like others have stated, this is clearly a gimmick/MLM company. They do a fair job at trying to convey a professional, business-oriented office by having a cork board with work safety tips pinned as well as all the Costcos in the country looking for people like YOU. Referencing brands with name recognition is a key tactic they use to persuade potential employees that they're legitimate and have "connections". They ultimately failed to fully deceive me by making little to no reference to the position for which I originally responded to. The entire process had a cult-like mentality, throwing buzzwords out and referencing Fortune 500 companies; overpromise and underdeliver is the mindset of these MLMs. The BBB mentions that Tech Marketing Grp. fails to maintain transparency and I couldn't agree more, be weary.

Dear Sir/Ma’am, We appreciate you taking the time out of your day to meet with our hiring team, and we regret to hear that you did not have a positive experience. There are a few points that we would like to take the time to help others understand your experience and clear any confusion. To begin with, we do use legitimate recruiting companies to help us find qualified candidates to help our clients, as do many companies such as Google, Verizon, Apple, CPI etc. This is due to no other reason, then to help our management team and clients streamline our hiring process with efficiency. MLM companies are illegal in the US, and TMG is a legal company. In addition, the clients that we do work with would not support the hire of illegal companies. That being said, we do not encourage or accent payment from employees, and they are guaranteed a base pay. We want to be very clear that the absolute last thing we are trying to do is mislead or “fool” people and we are very sorry if you feel as though we tried to do so in any way! With all of that being said, we truly welcome all feedback, positive and negative. And, after thoroughly reading over your review we have created a system that will allow us to acquire constructive feedback from all applicants following their interview, which will help us sort through the elements of our interview process that work as well as the elements that could use some fine-tuning. Thus, improving in any areas we can. Again, thank you for your feedback and we wish you all the best! TMG Human Resources
