      Employé (anonyme)
      Göppingen
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience positive
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez TeamViewer (Göppingen) en mars 2019

      Entretien

I initially had two introductory phone calls interviews followed by an invitation to have a on-site interview on the company's premises. This was a smooth and nice experience, where the employers kept a friendly and easy going approach and a clear explanation of the position, their roles ( with an individual introduction ) etc.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

From an interesting 'wordless' presentation in which I had to describe myself using visual aids and spoken presentation, I was asked some technical questions and tested through a call simulation. Questions were clear and the approach was patient and understanding. Overall a really smooth and nice experience.

      Entretien

This is an honest recollection of events that occurred during my experience interviewing in the Clearwater, FL office for a Technical Support position. I was offered the job, declined it due to low pay, reeled back in by HR only to have them balk at my desired pay rate. -Applied online, within a week or so heard from HR Assistant about scheduling a phone screen. -Had phone screen, discussed range which was lower end of target range but still there, some technical questions about Windows Commands, Port Forwarding, What is a Ping etc. along with resume review. -Invited onsite for a "TeamViewer Talent Check". This was a four hour waste of time in my opinion and what was expected did not align with market rate. -The TeamViewer Talent check consisted of the following in exact order: -Meet in lobby with other candidates you are competing against for the position ( Did not care for this at all). -Taken inside to meet with Senior HR rep, Tech Support Manager, and Sr. Support Rep. -Do a presentation of no more than ten minutes (I used PowerPoint) of why you are a great fit for the role. -I took great care in the above, which led to my frustration that I will expand upon. -You and the rest of the group are to have a group discussion, about importance of sales in Tech Support and good qualities of a Tech Support rep in front of the panel. -Taken on a tour of the facility by HR assistant and then given a written technical test. -Called into the initial conference room and perform a mock troubleshooting call where you are given a TeamViewer connectivity issue (judged by manager and Sr. specialist). -Taken back to room to wait then interviewed individually. -I did well in all of the above (3 hour process). -Offered job by manager at a rate of less than 50k which is well below market and much less than I currently make. On top of that I would of had to spend 6 weeks away from wife and young children in Germany for training. -I was disgusted by the above so I outright declined the offer because this boiler-room process should have a rate of 65k minimum in my opinion regardless of benefits. -HR rep calls me to see if we can make a deal, I tell them my expectations and they reply back in a template email three days later that they have moved onto other candidates. -Very unprofessional in my opinion. In closing I advised anyone applying for this role to consider the rate and see if it is worth their time. I really love technical support but my skillset is growing and if the pay is like this it is time to move into more ops type positions, Also I have marked the interview as very difficult but that is more so due to the joke of a process they have not the actual questioning and framework of the interview. Also the offer was conditional pending some very thorough background check as well, that may turn some people off especially at the pay rate.
