J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Teach for America en janv. 2011
Entretien
I was contacted by a TFA recruiter while in my senior year at college. After learning more about the program, I submitted my online application in November. I was given a follow up application and phone interview in the following weeks.
The phone interview was about an hour long, and consisted of questions like "What has been the hardest challenge you've faced? What was the outcome? In what situations have you failed? What was the outcome of those situations? Have you ever changed your mind about a major decision you've made?"
A few weeks after the phone interview, I was assigned to an in-person interview in April. The interview consisted of a 5-minute example lesson, group discussion with other applicants, and an 1-on-1 discussion with the interviewer.
The interviewers were recent corps members who had just completed their teaching assignments in their regions. The entire process was relatively relaxed and comfortable.
The interview was relaxed and they were certainly there to help. They made it clear they would help you through the whole process of becoming a teacher with your own mentor guiding you.
