So many things about my experience were messed up. The job description I received wasn't properly scrubbed; it contained the company's marketing slogans and official abbreviation. How did I know? It's my current employer! When I pointed that out, the recruiter went silent. I reminded him that this information is at the top of my resume *and* on my LinkedIn profile. Then I asked how his company even knew about the role, as my employer only hires through their own HR groups (we even have a dedicated internal team for contract, part-time, and contract-to-hire roles). At that point he just hung up - which pretty much guarantees I won't be taking TalentBurst's emails or job postings seriously in the future.
