J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez TXI en déc. 2017
Entretien
I came in for lunch which was nice. Everyone was friendly and the food was great. But when it came to discussions it was clear they wouldn't hire me for my current role (senior software engineer) and instead would hire me as "mid-level." I think that would be fine for some people but as a URM it would have been detrimental.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
I was given a coding challenge that was fairly complex (build an entire application from scratch). I didn't complete it because of the leveling issue but I told them that it was a barrier to applicants and they told me they would work on improving it.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez TXI (Chicago, IL) en juil. 2019
Entretien
I interviewed here several years ago and never got around to writing a review so I'm guessing the process changed. I reached out via a job posting on the website. Table XI responded fairly quickly. They invited me to hang out with the team (this was pre-covid so lunch was provided on-site). After that, I was given a take home coding challenge to submit. I was told it passed the initial screening then I came on-site for about a 4-5 hour process in which I met people from all departments of the company (design, operations, leadership, engineers, etc). Unfortunately, an offer wasn't extended. What was given (and why I am writing this review to begin with) was a call from leadership detailing why they were passing and what I can do to improve moving forward. They also asked me for feedback on the process from my point of view. I've interviewed at hundreds of places over the years and to this day, Table XI is one of the only companies to ever do that and I respect that.
