      Entretien

From completing the application to their final decision took over 2 months. A HR rep reached out 2 weeks after I completed the application to schedule a phone screening. She spelled my name wrong in the email, which should have been red flag #1. I replied about my availability the next day. Almost a week went by and I never heard back from her, so I sent another email, which should have been red flag #2. This was weird, but another HR rep reached out after my follow-up email and I scheduled a phone screening with him, which went well and I got passed to the next round. I met with a manager and that interview went well and went to the next round, which was a panel discussion. The initial HR rep said she would reach out after my first interview to provide feedback, which never happened - red flag #3. Then a HR rep in India confirmed my panel interview on a Sunday for the following Tuesday and never asked for my availability, so I had to rearrange my schedule to accommodate. I thought the panel interview went well, but I never got any feedback throughout the entire process. I sent multiple follow-up emails to the HR rep and the manager over the course of a month and played the waiting game until I sent a final email asking for a timeframe on when they would have decision, as I got another job offer, which they then called me a few hours later to say they were going with another candidate. The whole process was a mess and the company needs a better process. The other company I accepted the offer from had a streamlined process and told me every next step and it was less than 30 days from application to job offer. For every interview request (6 total), they sent an email where I put in my availability and a day later the interview was confirmed. I've been a hiring manager, so I know the candidate is also interviewing the company to see if it's a good fit and it just seems TIAA doesn't see it that way. I see why there is so much turnover at TIAA and why every client I have met with over the past 10 years who has a TIAA account is ready to move their money.
