      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Swank Motion Pictures (Saint Louis, MO) en avr. 2026

      Entretien

This was an unusually lengthy interview process. After going through it, I'm a bit skeptical about their intentions. A recruiter from the company contacted me and invited me to apply for the role. After I applied, there was an initial phone call with the same recruiter who was also the hiring manager. Following that call, she scheduled a video call that was also with her where I was asked to go over my resume and experience in more detail. After this video call, I was informed that they would like to bring me in for an in person interview, but again, this interview was just with myself and the recruiter. Although I accepted, I was wondering what else there would be to discuss and when I would be interviewing with someone from the Marketing team that I would report to if hired. The onsite interview was scheduled for an hour but ended up taking two full hours as the recruiter did end up bringing in someone from the Marketing team to ask questions. After this, I was asked to take a series of critical thinking tests that took several hours to complete. As part of this process, I also had to do an interview with a psychologist where I was again asked to go through my resume and experience. After this, I stopped hearing from the hiring manager for serveral weeks but saw that the role was being promoted on Linkedin and had other recruiters contact me about it. Almost a month later, I was finally contacted and informed that I was not selected to move forward as they had chosen to proceed with other applicants. However, the position is still bring promoted on Linkedin two months later. It is not that the interviews were difficult. It is that they were unneccessarily time consuming. I had been informed that if I had been selected to move forward, there would have been two more interviews after all of these. This just seems excessive for this type of role.
