Met with the Regional Sales Manager who asked pretty simple questions, just to gage who exactly he’s dealing with. Seemed like a great sales guy, probably not a bad guy to work for either. Had a positive feeling from him.
The second interview was with one of the Account Managers and went horribly. This guy seemed more intent to brag about his income (which was impressive) and to boast that all reps are buying houses with the amount they make (in California that’s a pretty impressive feat) rather than conduct an actual interview. He then kept repeating that he didn’t want to ‘sugar coat’ it and went on to explain there would be very long hours involved, which I believed given that he had dark circles under his eyes, seemed annoyed and kept spacing off. He proceeded to repeat multiple times that I had a really nice resume but that I could keep it since the paper was really nice and figured I could use the money I’d save from reprinting additional copies.
The interviews were like night and day. The set up here seems similar to joining a frat. The first year or two sound like hell where you work long hours with very little pay but once you’ve paid your dues and get assigned your own territory, you’re living the high life.
Needless to say, I didn’t get the job. Very frat like atmosphere it seemed and they both referred to this as a lifestyle, which means being on call 24/7 with the exception of every other weekend. The money is definitely there if you’re selecting and make it past their hazing faze.

Interview was conducted remotely from a representative outside of the country. While I understand the company is a large corporate entity, the Interview process felt impersonal and like the role itself was not particularly important

I was emailed to interview for a position in my city. I spent 2 days preparing and took time off from my current position only to get a call from the recruiter that the position i was interviewing for was filled already. They wanted to know if i was interested in relocating cities. I found the lack of communication to be very strange. A simple email would've been productive as i was super excited about the opportunity to even get the interview! Disappointing!
