The Position was based out of the DMV area, but the interview was held in WV at their headquarters. I drove over 2.5 hours each way for the interview. (No compensation or reimbursement offered) Interviewed with the CEO and Program Lead of the contract I was interviewing for. Interview was your typical set of interview questions, reviewing my resume and asking situational based questions around my previous experience. A lot of promises were made, salary was negotiated and they spoke to me as if I had the job. About a week or two after the interview I kept in communication with the hiring team and the CEO and provided them all the documentation and information they requested of me during the interview. After providing the requested info some time went by and I heard nothing. I'd reach out and nobody had any knowledge of my "status". After a period of time and multiple attempts of trying to determine my status and start date, the CEO finally reached out and she said they decided to go with another candidate. I think it was awful and completely unprofessional that I had to reach out just to hear that they chose another candidate. I felt like if I had never reached out I would of never known. I later found out that this was untrue because they reposted the job that I'd originally interviewed for. I'm unsure of what exactly changed but going in to the interview I had done my research and was already hesitant about working for this company as I found a lot of unfavorable things about the way the company was ran. I decided to formulate my own opinions and atleast interview and get a feel for things. Throughout the entire process I noticed how unprofessional, misinformed, and poorly managed things were handled. I wouldn't recommend this organization.
