      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 5 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez StockX (Detroit, MI) en févr. 2019

      Entretien

We held 2 phone interviews and 3 video conference interviews before bringing me on-site to their office in Detroit. In all 6 cases, there was a clear an attempt at organization, but it was not successful. The phone interviews were clearly meant to screen, but the questions were so general, it was hard to tell what types of candidates they were looking to screen out, let alone their ideal candidate's attributes. The video conference interviews had some technical issues, which happen, but were just as unorganized. After scheduling with senior leaders, they come in with very few questions and, clearly, limited understanding of the expectations of the role they're interviewing me for. In an interesting twist, when requesting me to come on site, they changed the level of the role from a Vice President to a Director. Titling, in its own, is not a concern, but pay scaling changed, as well. In this case, it put my compensation requirements just above their new scale. After some dialogue around this, I decided to visit and interview in person. The in-person interview day was organized, but the actual interviews with leadership was a similar experience to the video interviews. In one case, the person interviewing me started with "I asked you everything I wanted to in the video interview. Do you have any questions for me?" We are now a couple of months later and still no response. Every update I receive from the recruiter is initiated by my request. This for a job that, in our first conversation 4+ months ago (!), I was told they need to move quick on this role.
