Applied online since the role seemed like a good match for my background. Initial coding assessment followed by long day of 6 interviews + a presentation on a technical project. There was a big focus on C++ concepts throughout but pretty surface level overall, should be fine if you are somewhat familiar with C++14 or higher. The coding questions were pretty simple algorithmically, I ended up having a lot of time to chat and ask questions with the interviewers; although by the end of the (10 hour) day I was pretty tired and took most of the time on the last one. Everyone in was pleasant to talk to and I felt like we had a good rapport going. Weeks later I received feedback that they would not be moving forward despite having multiple openings, and when I asked if there was any feedback I could work on they said all the feedback was positive and that they were just holding out to be more selective (???). Feels like they just wanted someone with more YOE, extremely disrespectful to make someone go through with preparing a presentation+full day interview knowing you're not interested in their background.
