      Entretien

      I got a call from a recruiter and went through an interview and a test. Unfortunately, my test didn't meet their standards due to a misunderstanding. After a few weeks, I reached out to them again and found out about another job opportunity. I did the test for that role too, but got rejected. The reasons seemed to be about personal coding preferences. What made it worse was that the person evaluating my code didn't seem to understand the test requirements. And this wasn't a one-time thing either with this company. During the interview for the first time I made a test project, the interviewer asked why I chose to use Tailwind CSS, and was shocked when I told him it was an actual requirement ("Use react hooks, tailwind CSS, and react query to build the application."). In the next test, they criticized me for using create-react-app, even though the instructions were as following "The provided code is done on create-react-app, feel free to use any other tools, e.g, Next.". They also complained about the lack of testing, even though it was just a bonus task and not an actual requirement ("Bonus: implement testing.") While the recruiter was empathetic and understanding, my attempts to seek clarification on my coding choices were met with silence, despite requesting a call for explanation.
