1. Hirevue interview
2. HR convo to set expectations and discuss salary requirements
3. Interview with 2 actuarial executives
4. Final round interview with potential peers, hiring manager, and business partners
Interview process was very systematic and we'll executed. Best part was during the final round, the session with potential peers included a job shadow where they showed me a little bit of their day-to-day (systems, processes, etc.).
This was by far the best interview process I've been to. I had plenty of time to ask the questions I needed answered, and I came away with a great understanding of how the team works and how it is organized.
Negatives:
1. It wasn't clear which specific team/product line the role would support
2. Job offer came in at 15k lower than the minimum salary I told them, even final offer didn't meet my minimum
Suggestion: include salary range in job posting so candidates know what they're getting into or if their expectations are too high tell them upfront.
