J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Starbucks (Saint Louis, MO) en janv. 2013

      Entretien

-Applied online and received a call the next morning to schedule a phone interview. -Scheduled a phone interview the next day, which lasted a total of 45 minutes. Questions mostly consisted of "Tell me about a time when...." and reviewed my resume and qualifications. -After the phone interview, I was told that she would like to progress me on to the next step in the interview process which was an interview with two district managers in a local store. -I had the interview 2 days later. The interview lasted about an hour and started with a coffee tasting. You must be passionate about coffee and able to talk about it intelligently. Next, I was asked more behavioral based interview questions along with several questions that involved following the "STAR" model. Situation, Task, Action, Result. You must follow this format when answering each question presented to you. -At the conclusion of the interview, I was asked if I had any questions for the interviewers. Well of course I did! I asked several questions relating to store volume, labor analysis, financials, organizational structure, etc. -I applied for a Store Manager position, and later that day was offered a position as Assistant Store Manager. I happily accepted because it was a way to get my foot in the door with an awesome company that has great growth potential.

Phone interview with a recruiter who expects STAR style answers. The questions are pretty standard and easy to find online, so prep isn’t hard. Honestly, the toughest part, if you’re already an internal employee, is getting the interview in the first place. You really have to show your managers that you’re serious about moving into the role.

      Question 1

Give me an example of a time you solicited feedback and encouraged the sharing of ideas by your time or group of colleagues. (What actions did you take with that information and what was the result?)

For an external hire, pretty normal for an interview. For an internal hire, they basically want you to answer as if you were a robot. They want you to answer by telling a story in the STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result)

You will be asked scenario questions. Answer based on your experience not what you would have otherwise done. Be specific and paint the picture as if you are telling a story.
