The recruitment process started with a call from Istanbul for a branch in Izmir. Although the interviewer was present at the location, I was kept waiting for 30 minutes without any explanation or apology. The overall process felt very amateur and unorganized. Although the job posting and the phone call specifically emphasized (no experience required), it became clear that this was misleading as no feedback or follow-up was provided. During my interview, they didn't even bother to specify the salary details. However, based on extensive feedback from past employees, the company’s wage policy is notoriously poor. You are not just a barista. You are expected to be a janitor (cleaning toilets), a shelf stocker, a cashier, and a heavy-lifter (carrying pallets of milk and ice). The expectation is for one person to handle five different jobs simultaneously. The workload is extreme, especially during "pre-closing" and "closing" shifts. The company does not provide a shuttle service or any commuting support. Only a food card is provided. The management often sets unreachable targets to avoid paying bonuses, leading to a high-pressure and unhappy environment.
