Entretien
Sent out email to various schools. St. Giles replied and set up an interview.
Interview was with the Director of Studies.
They asked about previous work experience in teaching English and asked a few questions regarding grammar.
I was given a tour of the school.
Interview lasted approximately 30 minutes and I was offered the job on the spot.

They set up an interview with you through skype. If the original interviewer has to cancel, they try to get someone else to interview you. This person says they will interview you but it takes you two emails and two weeks to get them to respond or to care.. They respond and you try to connect with them through skype and it is almost as if they are not trying. They have the guts to say "Could you try again," when it isn't working and when they are not even trying at all. Then they give you a very dismissive "Oh looks like this isn't working for us." It was almost as they never wanted to interview you. Then when you get an interview set up with the actual person you were supposed to interview with, it goes horribly.

Question 1
The guy who is interviewing you does not even ask you complete questions. He asks half of the question and you have no idea what he is asking. The questions are not clear at all. It is almost as if they are doing it on purpose. Then when you manage to answer something, they tell you that you could have said this or that. What is the point of interviewing someone if you want them to give you this or that answer? Then when you something goes wrong with the connection and you say you cannot hear them or see them, you manage to hear them say "Well I can see you and hear you." That is implying that the interviewee is lying. Don't imply that the interviewee is lying and do not speak to them like that.
Ask clear questions. Don't ask half of a question confusing the interviewee....
It is almost as if you don't want them to get hired.

Pretty straight forward. Bring your resume, tell them about your teaching experience, and what certifications you have. They may ask you some questions about how you would handle an issue with a student or in some cases do a sample class - it depends on whether they need someone to start immediately! It may be worth just stopping by the school and dropping off your resume. Teachers come and go there so if you stop by on the right day, you can increase your odds!
