It started with a phone convo with a recruiter type person. The call was friendly and informative. I then had a call with the hiring manager, which was also a good call / very friendly. The technical questions were basic, but I think reasonable enough to make anyone think, yet not ridiculously difficult.
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Splice
Entretien
There was a series of 6 interviews, two of which were technicals, with the remainder being culture fit interviews with the direct manager, prospective team members, cross functional teams, and VP of engineering.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
One of the technical screens involved a system design interview where I penciled out the architecture given a business need prompt. The other was a code review exercise. Culture fit questions involved company values, questions about diversity, and things about me and my background to get a feel for my personality.
Interview process consisted of:
1. Phone screening with recruiter
2. Interview with team manager
3. Interview with two dev leads(?) on soft skills-type questions
4. Interview with designer regarding process, working with product, collaboration, etc.
5. Quasi-technical interview with an engineer
6. System design interview
7. Discussion with head of engineering
This interview was unusual in that I only met the team lead and the designer working with the team; all other interviews were with members of other teams.

Question 1
For part 5, the interview with an engineer, I was asked about my approach to problem solving, tackling tickets, about bugs I had solved in the past, some questions about scalability, availability, and so on.
For part 6, I was presented with a system challenge related to a poor internet connection and asked to solve it. General sys design interview prep was helpful.
