RED FLAGS FLYING HIGH!!! I was at a loss for words when my application was responded to with a FIVE PART TEST (at least 8 times questions for each part) asking questions relating to sales and customer service. I immediately knew this company was not serious about hiring a digital marketing manager and exited out. Then I received an email from the CEO that BLEW MY MIND. He couldn't be bothered to take the time to interview me as a candidate, yet expected me to give detailed responses to questions about my strategies, campaigns, KPI's and results. While I am happy to share the success of my work with a potential employer, I do not give away those details in an email for the *possibility* of being selected to interview. Pretty much an unpaid work assignment where you give the CEO a blueprint on how to market his business online. An insult to any hard working professional. I didn't respond to the email, especially since he noted in his short "why we do this" video that he receives a thousand applicants for each role. I figured some other sucker would fall for it and waste their time. However, the follow up email asking for an update told me otherwise. More red flags flying and that's when I came to Glassdoor to see what others had to say about the interview experience at this business. The reviews are correct. I am so glad I did not waste my time or give away my strategies to someone with no respect for me as a professional with 10 years of experience and (what could have been) an excellent candidate. The CEO's responses to the reviews on here says it all. Very unprofessional and toxic. As a marketing and comm's leader, I suggest this company takes down all of its job openings and works implementing an interview process that honors the time and effort of both parties.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on our hiring process. I understand that your experience was not as you expected, and I'm sorry to hear that you felt it was unfair or overly demanding. At Spinify, we strive to maintain a unique and thorough hiring process that allows us to ensure we're bringing on the best possible talent for our team. The multi-part test and subsequent questions are designed to give us a better sense of an applicant's abilities, thought processes, and creativity. However, we understand that this approach might not resonate with everyone. I want to clarify that the intention of our process is not to extract free work or strategies from our applicants. We respect the hard work and knowledge that every candidate brings to the table, and we would never use the application process to exploit that. I appreciate your feedback, and I assure you that we will use it to continually refine our process. Your experience will help us to improve and ensure that all applicants feel valued and respected. We do not take this lightly, and we are committed to creating a process that is both rigorous and respectful. We are here to build a team that shares our dedication to excellence, and we believe that starts with the hiring process. Your insight is valuable, and I appreciate you taking the time to share it with us. Even though you had a negative experience, I am glad you chose to communicate your concerns. This type of feedback is what helps us grow as a company.
