J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Speechmatics (Cambridge, East of England, England) en oct. 2021
Entretien
The whole process was extremely positive; everyone I spoke with was very friendly and seemed to genuinely love their job. They were also really flexible; for instance they organised an in-person lunch because I asked them about the culture. They were also outstandingly helpful and open in giving me more context and detail after the interviews, to make sure I can make the best possible choice about the role.
The technical round was probably one of the best interviews I've been given so far; there were some difficult questions that however taught me something about what I would want to learn next. They also did a really great job at guiding me through the questions I didn't know the answer to, so I got a good sense that they were not necessarily just looking for the person who knows everything, but they value ability to learn and curiosity as well.

I applied online in January, almost 2 months later got a reply from their talent partner with a list of standard screening questions (motivation, salary expectations, notice period, etc). They then sent a calendar link to share my availability for an interview that never actually got scheduled. No meeting link, no confirmation, nothing. The talent partner followed up once more asking for my availability again, but after I replied, radio silence. All this back and forth makes you question whether it's worth your time even applying.

Entretien
3 to 4-stage process;
1) Recruitment team screen
2) Technical screen with presentation on a relevant paper
3) Live coding exercise
4) ML theory and workplace culture
The process was very smooth and Harry C and the recruitment team were extremely friendly, flexible and professional throughout. The interviews were probing and I found the discussions interesting as well as necessarily challenging enough to feel stretched. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and understanding, helping and prompting me where required while allowing me to explore my own thoughts too, a good balance. Overall, I was left with a very good impression of Speechmatics. They came across as a team of capable, driven people who all supported each other in delivering some pretty cool tech.
