      Entretien

Applied online for a "job fair" and heard back from a recruiter 48 hours later. The initial phone screening carried out by the recruiter included the perks/incentives, job applied for, and a few questions regarding my experience including why I was choosing Spectrum, why I left my job, what my experience was, and I was encouraged to share a little about myself. The recruiter then went on to explain a little more about the nature of the job. That calls would be back to back, that scheduling was inflexible for the most part but workers could "bid" on shifts for flexibility based on their call metrics, that customers who called in may be angry because they were running a business, salary/hourly pay (non-negotiable), etc. She asked me if I agreed to the scheduling procedure. I did and she proceeded to schedule me for the following in person interview the following day. Overall, the recruiter was nice. She had an enthusiastic and positive demeanor and she saw potential in me so she gave me a chance to come in. For that, I am thankful. I went in the following day to the main campus for an interview. It was here when it dawned on me that I really didn't want to work here. I recall the woman who escorted me to the second floor. She had a face similar to that of a zombie. I saw this expression on many a supervisor. The people just looked unhappy to be there. Anyhow, the woman led me to a conference room where other candidates sat awaiting their turn. My first impression was that this would be a panel interview but after getting situated I realized that everyone was lined up to be matched with a supervisor. There was a gentleman that sat at the table. He was delegated as the "watchman" for all attendants. It felt like some crap out of 1984. So, one by one the recruiters came in and picked the different candidates. I bade them all farewell and wished them the best of luck. My time finally came up and I met up with a supervisor. He led me to a room and asked for my resume and went down the list of questions about my experience along with some behavioral/scenario questions. I'm pretty sure I didn't answer these correctly. When he informed me that they'd be having many other interviews for that day and that I would eventually hear something back was pretty much the answer given. Oh well, didn't get it. But great interview experience. :)
