Two phone interviews. First one was in-depth questions about engineering project of my choice. Second was purely ME technical questions. Topics covered included material science, mechanics of materials, kinematics among others.

If a large heavy plate of uniform mass is placed on top of three beams of the same dimensions (the outer two are made of aluminum and the middle is made of steel), describe the loads acting on each beam?

Entretien
40 minute long call with an engineer. First, we mainly talked about my experience within a technical organization. Followed up with rapid fire technical questions and then he asked for any questions from me. We had some extra time left over and he gave me the opportunity to talk about the next most important on my resume

Interview process was good and smooth
. It consisted of 3 rounds. The questions were a combination of general technical questions, project related technical questions, and two or so behavioral questions.

Where is the point of highest stress when a cantilever is loaded downward at the far edge of the beam?
2 technical rounds, both were 45 minutes long. Asked basic engineering questions (cantallevered beam, flow through a pipe, hydraulics) and increasingly got difficult. Must know first princple engineering to pass interview.
