H.R. contacted me via email asking if I would be available for an interview within the week. Since I had not formally applied to a position, I was a little surprised. It turned out my resume was pulled from recruitment fair. Since this was a fair recruitment, a job description was not provided. Edison interviews you once at a job location, and that is usually it.
The interview consist of two parts, first the STAR interview, and then a technical interview. The technical interview relates to technical information about the job. Edison’s STAR approach is a little different than most, they do not ask you to call upon your previous experience, instead they provide a situation with numerous detail, and ask to solve the problem. In many incidences the interviewers will expand and adlib to the original question, turning the interview into a role-play situation.

Phone screening and virtual interview, nothing out of the ordinary. Waited a couple weeks to hear back and was provided an offer. The screening did not ask any particular question. More so to schedule the interview. the interview itself was with a panel of three people. All behavioral questions and about the job listing.

Took a personality assessment in which you could only agree or slightly agree to selections. Instead of being asked just one questions you’re have two questions paired against one another. For example you could be asked to agree/slightly agree with the options of not liking to work in groups or lacking confidence. You’d have to choose which one you agree with. I’ve interviewed with multiple engineering companies and never felt so pointlessly analyzed. I failed and have to wait 6 months to apply to any positions that require this test. I implore you all to research as much as you can if you really want to work here. Even if you think you’re ready for this assessment you’re not.

Comparing two things and having to choose between the two like “I have a temper” and “I don’t like working in groups”. You have to pick which you agree with more, can’t be neutral, can’t disagree. Yes I know, good luck.

Campus interview screening before an invite for site interview. The interview asked lengthy behavior questions. I was thrown off by how long these questions were. After the interview, I knew I didn't do well and asked for some advice. They suggested that in the future, I should write down some notes so I don't forget the questions I'm being asked.
