The process began within a week of applying. They stated they were moving quickly with the role. At the end of the screener call/interview with recruiter they said the position was already filled and offered another position. I feel generally this should be communicated prior. Decided to proceed forward. Process included 3 additional interviews and a next steps call with the recruiter. They requested 3 references and sent each of them an email with 10 or so questions. I did not hear anything for a week. After sending a follow-up email, it was communicated that a decision would be made next week. I followed up a week after the date they had given me. I was then informed they had combined the position with the role I originally applied for.
