      Entretien

      Started well, then became deceptive and some leaders involved in the interview panel became combative. Some folks would be great to work with, and others seem so bullish that it would've been enough to decline an offer. I felt interrogated at a certain point in the process. I was assigned a prompt that was 1) extended way beyond the scope of a manager level hire 2) would be so extensive that it would apply across an entire team, not a single individual, but the interview panel expected that this person would know how to execute what a team would handle and poked holes in every component that was presented. The expected output was not commensurate with the title or comp range offered. Candidates were tasked with putting together a "90 day" plan but before they could dig into what they prepared in response to the prompt, the team asked what they would do beyond the 90 days which simply isn't fair and is disrespectful of the candidate's time - why put together a prompt to then immediately probe outside of it? The team also expected that this person would build this plan considering the intricacies and nuances of the company's existing business model and best practices, and that is simply impossible to know from the outside. Lastly, it seems as if the company is confused on their business model and their audiences, and if they aren't, they have trouble clearly communicating how they work with these audiences and how their business functions. B2B and B2B2C are two different models that warrant different strategies and channels. It was truly an unusual and uncomfortable experience.
