During the technical interview, there were two people present, but they didn’t introduce themselves at all (unprofessional). One of them just sat there and barely contributed to the interview; it seemed like he was working on something else during the interview. The other person was the one asking the questions.
First, I was asked to introduce myself, but before I even finished, the person interrupted me, saying it was enough and that I knew too well what I was talking about. (I mean, how could I not know what I’ve worked on so far?)
After that, they started with technical questions. After a few questions, I was asked to share my screen for some live coding, then more questions... they had me share my screen about three times. They were juggling between questions and live coding, and it seemed like they didn’t even know what they were doing.
It was chaotic; I didn’t even understand some of the questions they asked. It was clear they were just reading questions from the internet. At one point, they even said, "Oh, I’ve already asked this one."
My answers were only considered good if I gave exactly the response they wanted, exactly how they wanted it.
And at the end, I got a comment like, "That’s enough, it’s clear."
They asked if I had any questions. I’m pretty sure they were expecting me to say no. I only asked about the teams and tech stack, to which I got the response that they use "a lot."
The whole experience felt like they just found two random people to ask some questions. It seemed like a waste of time.
