      J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Softlanding Solutions en déc. 2016

      Entretien

      I did an initial phone interview that lasted almost 1.5 hours, then went in on two occasions for in person interviews. All interviews seemed to go well. I was a bit irritated that my last in person interview was supposed to just be with the HR person but was completely blindsided upon arrival when told I was going to do a near 2 hour technical interview/presentation. It wasn't a huge problem but I would have appreciated being able to prepare for technical interviews in advance, I had no opportunity in this case which was unfortunate. Between all three interviews I gave them a total of close to 8 hours of my time, had I known this process would have taken this much of my time I would have passed, I wasn't that interested in the position and amount of time taken was totally unnecessary for the role. There is something wrong when a company needs to take more than a few hours for the complete interview process. Softlanding is not Microsoft, Google or Amazon or anything close, they are a small Microsoft consulting shop, one of dozens in Vancouver. I received a call a couple of days after the final interview from the HR person and everything looked good, he was selling the company to me and even sent me information on their benefits package. I was informed the he would get back to me in a couple of days to let me know their decision This was the week before the Christmas break. I heard nothing for two weeks, I figured that he went on vacation, fine. By the end of the first week of January, still nothing, so I called him and left a message. No response. A week goes by and still nothing, so I write an email to him. At this point all I wanted was a solid answer, I really didn't care either way at this point I was just getting irritated that they didn't have the common courtesy to get back to me after giving them so much of my time. This is likely the worst process I have ever gone though. Softlanding clearly doesn't have any respect for peoples time. I have never given anyone more than an hour of interview time and not heard back from them with some sort of decision. I've always found that a great indicator of how a company treats their employees is how they treat their candidates. I'm going to say from my experience that Softlanding is not a good employer. They do have a couple of good reviews by employees but like any anonymous review you have to take that with a grain of salt. Perhaps offers of free cheeseburgers to employees for a good review on Glassdoor. BTW it has been 3 months since my initial interview and still not a word. Stay classy Softlanding!
