I did not have a very good interview experience at Soderstrom Skin Institute. My interviewer was over 30 minutes late. I left my phone in the car, so I couldn’t tell what time it was, but walking out crossed my mind a few times. I understand situations arise and some situations are very time sensitive, but it would have been courteous for someone to let me know what was going on instead of leaving me sit there for over 30 minutes. My interview was very short, maybe it was because she was late or maybe because she didn’t like my answers, but the question selection was not very good. I also did not appreciate the question about salary history on the application, which is now illegal to ask in Illinois. The benefit summary sheet was very vague. I noticed “free parking” was a benefit. Nobody pays to park on that side of Peoria...it would only make sense if they were located downtown, so I’m guessing the benefit package is not
very strong. Also another odd sign is for a very small company, they sure do have a lot of job postings. I don’t buy it that they’re “growing” so that’s why there’s job openings...that doesn’t explain 25+ job openings. Company seems very outdated and do not recommend interviewing if you have a good job currently. I should’ve looked at patient reviews before applying- they’re awful!
