      Entretien

I got into the interview process through an external recruiter. 1st call - With HR. The usual HR interview where they ask you some questions about yourself, your motivation and some technical aspects they just need to tick off a list. In this call I made sure what they meant by hybrid model and the HR rep ASSURED me that 1 day per week is great and that most of the people do that anyway. Great, onwards then! 2nd call - With QA Manager. Really pleasant discussion, got to know more about the company culture and the people as well as the processes that they have. 3rd call - With Hiring Manager. A bit more of a technical discussion (although was told by HR this will be a management-focused interview) but overall enjoyable. Got even more details about the current state of the project, what the issues are, what they hope the new hire will solve, talked about different strategies. We hit it off really well. 4th call - With other colleagues from the same project (from a different area, not QA, one senior one mid). This was kind of the same as the 2nd and 3rd interview. Again, was told this was going to be a purely cultural-fit interview but it was another technical one (mixed questions from 2nd and 3rd). It felt useless and it showed me that they might have an internal communication problem if the feedback from the 2nd and 3rd call didn't get to the people who led the 4th. A couple of days later I get an email from HR just to double check what's my availability to come to the office. I said 1 day but aim to remain flexible (nothing had changed from the 1st interview to prompt this question). They asked if I can't come 2 days (No, I cannot). Then they didn't get back to me ever again. Shows how much they respect their potential colleagues. I got a message from the external recruiter one week later saying that although they really like me, the fact that I can come only 1 day a week is a total deal breaker. To which I was in total disbelief being exactly what I specifically asked as to not lose everybody's time. But anyway, 4 interviews later, after having being assured that 1 day per week is the norm, I am getting declined even though I am the perfect fit (their words not mine) because I can only come 1 day per week. Totally unprofessional and utter lack of respect. What a shame.
