I was contacted by a recruiter on a job platform since he thought I'd be a good fit for this role at the company. Note: I never applied for the job or sought to submit my resume for this position. I met with the in-house recruiter that same week. The in-house recruiter told me that, as part of the process, I would need to take an analytics assessment and, in the final round, prepare and deliver a presentation on-site. She said she'd send me the assessment and schedule me to meet with the hiring manager. At that point, I decided I'd let her know I wasn't interested after she sent me the assessment. She had mentioned that there were several people in the final round who were already doing the presentation. She never sent me the assessment and didn't contact me about interview scheduling that day, as she had mentioned she would. Unfortunately, she had only communicated via an app, so there was no direct email to her to let her know I didn't want to pursue this position. I can assume she either picked up on the fact that I had lost interest (but then why say she was moving me forward) or that they ended up making an offer to someone. Perhaps they ghosted me, but it doesn't matter since I have no interest in the role.
