J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Snap

Started the interview process with a couple phone interviews before being asked to come onsite for a group interview which would also be the final round. The interview process was very quick, took about 3 weeks in total from beginning to final round. After final round, there was silence about the role for over 2 months. The recruiter would reply to follow-up emails saying they needed more time. After 2 months, the news broke publicly that Snap was going through layoffs. The recruiter then called to inform me that the role no longer existed. Definitely a bummer but not the fault of the recruiter-- as the initial interview process was extremely quick and fun (they even gave a swag bag)!
I interviewed for a contract role, so my experience was a bit different compared to full-time positions. I had a phone screen with the direct manager, and then met with the department head and two different colleagues on the team. It gave me a great and in-depth perspective on what it would be like to work with the team as a whole. Everyone was extremely intelligent, kind and interesting to talk to.

Strange feelings afterwords. Feels like toxic environment behind. Hiring manager says on the interview that you can forget about free evenings, says that you will continue to the next step and then reject via email.

I went through 5 rounds of interviewing for a position they needed filled as soon as possible. I received great feedback from everyone and when on my finally interview I received a comment asking if I could make my hair straight instead of curly because they really liked me. I declined! This company talks about diversity but the only reason I wasn't offered a position was due to my curly hair? Talk about discrimination. I was told in the end they went with another candidate but for the past two weeks I keep seeing the same position reposted on different websites. I'm a proud black woman with curly hair, glad I dodge a toxic environment.
