The first red flag was that the person said they did not have a HR department. I wasted time with this company where they basically low balled me a lot. I wouldn't waste time with this company if you want to be paid fairly and expect clear communication of the process. They asked me how much I wanted as they weren't able to specify a figure or range then one of the guys seemed really offended when I stated my expectations. Be transparent about salary and expectation from the beginning and learn to pay the industry standard.
