I underwent a lengthy interview process that lasted nearly two months after submitting my application. Throughout this period, I participated in an initial interview, completed two mini tasks (without receiving compensation for my time), and engaged in multiple phone calls. Unfortunately, I found that the hiring manager repeatedly asked me questions that I had already addressed during the initial interview. During the entire process, the hiring manager consistently assured me that they were capable of offering a higher salary than my current job. Thus, I was disappointed to receive a job offer with a salary range that was significantly lower than the market average, considering my experience in the marketing and SEO industry. This situation has led me to believe that the company may be out of touch with modern hiring practices and the current job market. Consequently, I feel fortunate to have potentially avoided a problematic working environment.
