The interview process starts with a recruitment phone screen with detailed discussion involving experience and familiarity with the technology of focus. If all goes well then a follow screen with a consultant will take place. They led the conversation with questions and it was a comfortable conversational format. The next steps involved meeting 3 consultants in back-to-back-to-back in-person interviews. These also were very conversational and I got to talk about myself a bit outside of work to make things personal. All 3 of these interviews were similar in terms of questions and difficulty of questions. Upon passing that round I met with the Practice Area Director (your manager) where the conversation turned more serious but remained conversational. The dynamics of the team and the goals of the team were made clear along with my role. The final two interviews were with the Managing Director for the Technology Practice and the General Manager of the firm. The discussions involved the future of Slalom and my personal development if I was hired. I was very happy to have made it this far and having these conversations really made me excited to join Slalom. Luckily all went well! All interviewers answered my questions and were very engaging. Yes, there were a lot of interviews but it is nice to know that Slalom is willing to invest more time in the interview process as they want to hire the best talent. The feelings was mutual as I wanted to make sure that Slalom was the best fit for me. When interviewing for any position you rarely get to meet this many people 1:1. I found it very valuable to adjust as Day 1 I was able to strike up conversations and relationships from the interview process.

I was contacted by a recruiter through a referral. A week later, I talked with the recruiter for about 30 minutes to talk about the job and company...very little about me at this point. We scheduled an in-person interview at their building. I had a technical interview, consulting interview, and cultural interview over the course of about two hours.

Intense rounds but the entire process only took a couple weeks end to end including hearing back with an offer. I countered the offer and was pleasantly surprised to hear a much better offer. Slalom was very adamant that I find the company and culture a good fit.
