Initial phone interview ended positively with a verbal commitment for a face to face. After two follow up phone calls leaving messages I received a return call some weeks after the phone interview apologising for the delay and advising the role had been offered to an internal candidate! Congratulations to the successful candidate and here's hoping that the individual has a positive impact on the hiring process moving forward, particularly communicating with and verbally committing to external candidates
