Very friendly atmosphere, the team make you feel welcome and ask questions focused on what makes good customer service and sales. For the supervisor position I was being interviewed for 2 hours total, the initial stage was a few questions then the second half of the interview was a role-play exercise where I had to provide a 'staff member' (the interviewer) feedback on my observations of their interactions with a customer. The interviewer was reading from a script for this part and explained how it would work so was not too difficult and felt really natural.

Applied via the website after a 30 minute assessment asking various Supervisory role questions. Received a phone call a couple of days later from who I presume was the Area Manager though he didn't introduce himself properly at any stage of the interview process and gave me less than 24 hours notice for the interview. Went to the interview and was kept waiting until the guy who initially called me for the interview greeted me and led me up to a cold bare room with a desk and 2 chairs and sat me down. Not great to have the distraction of a radio in the background from another room either. I was given a sheet to write my name and phone number on while he proceeded to play/text on his mobile phone. The entire interview was basically him reading from a scripted sheet and me answering the questions. He maybe glanced up at me twice through the whole interview? I found it extremely inpersonal, cold and intimidating. As somebody who interviews potential employees regularly and strives to make my company as enticing as possible to future employees he definitely gave me the wrong impression of what it would be like to work for this company. After 30 minutes of questions and answers (asking for extremely detailed situations) we then did two instances of role-play with which he proceeded for more than 10 minutes to resist any selling techniques I tried so in the end I lost all motivation and gave up. The second role play he actually handed me a piece of paper that the previous candidate had already written their answers on. I found that extremely unprofessional and unorganised. Don't think I've experienced such an awful interviewer in all my time and I've learned a lot from what not to do when I'm interviewing for my own staff in future.
