Call with recruiter. Asked about my background (said my background was a great fit) and then asked to provide example of an end-to-end project I've worked on. Immediately, the recruiter made a conclusion that I haven't worked on strategic project. My example was a 3 month project (startup in nature) and the recruiter responded saying "unfortunately we typically work on 6-9 months project" - how is this even relevant. Knowing recruiter was hesitating, I mentioned my work experience also included responsibility in leading company's annual business OKR in NA market. Recruiter didn't ask a single follow up question and felt like he had made up his mind with just one question. Very disappointing interview; puzzled why a direct inquiry about my strategic experience wasn't made. I hope this isn't across the board and was just an isolated case with the recruiter.
