I first went through a HR phone call where she asked me standard questions about my resume and extra-curricular experiences. When I described a previous project I did that was somewhat relevant to online shopping, she asked a lot of follow-up questions like what I would do to scale up the project etc. A week later she forwarded me to the next round which was a Zoom video conference with a staff on their product management team. He asked qns related to my previous projects and different scenarios such as "what would you do if feature x has poor usage statistics". I felt the interview went relatively smooth so I'm not too sure why they rejected me. Is it so difficult to land an internship at Shopee?

The recruitment process was quite straightforward and efficient.
Resume Screening > This initial stage took approximately one week for them to review my application.
Personal Interview > The one-on-one interview session lasted for about one hour, focusing on my background and fit for the role.
Offer > A final decision was made, and I received the official offer shortly thereafter.

The overall atmosphere of the interview was not overly formal or serious. There was a good portion of time dedicated to introducing the end-to-end workflow of the role.
The questions mainly revolved around the experiences listed on my resume, but they were often asked in great depth. I needed to take time to think carefully before answering to provide thorough responses.
They also asked about my expectations and vision for the job, and why I wanted to apply for the role.

Smooth and decent, not too difficult. Some questions are more product specific so should be familiar with that. No resume questions asked, mostly problem solving questions.

There were 3 rounds, first screening, 2nd general department interview then the last one is with the team where the questions get a bit more technical. All were online. The technical assessment consisted of SQL questions.
