Initial recruiter screen only--ONLY--asked if I was willing to accept a role with two days a week in-office, and with a hard cap on base salary of $160k. (Despite the salary range in the job posting being $120 - $240k.) Next round was a SQL tech screen, which was one of the WORST I have encountered in my career thus far. It was a 45 minute whiteboard, with no schemas, no table samples, and the expectation that I would get the solution line-perfect. The questions were fairly clearly specific puzzles they had come up with, based on their production data, and required techniques that would never be appropriate for a production environment. One of the solutions required knowledge about a product_id field that I was never given. I withdrew from the interview process after this.
