Applied online and an old recruiter reached out in a few days. Setup an hour call. Irrelevant questions were asked and the recruiter had a list of questions that she read verbatim. She also went over each job I had and reason for leaving and a response like “better comp” wasn’t enough. She also didn’t have much knowledge about the role and we didn’t discuss much of how my credentials align with the responsibilities. I also wrote to the hiring manager on LinkedIn and the leader never care to respond back(transparency, communication and responsiveness are few traits of a good leader). She also asked me what is the lowest comp I am expecting. At the end of all this there pay range shared was dismal and aligned with a senior associate pay. No wonder recruiters are being laid off first
