Entretien
3 rounds of interview, all telephonic or through Skype. Usual reviews and experience of other people says it is a lengthy process but for me it was pretty quick. Took just a couple of weeks.

Commercial acumen - how good was my understanding of concepts like payback period, NPV etc and whether I had any experience calculating the same for projects.
The recruiting agency contacted me, took my details and created a login for me in Shell database. I had a pre-interview with my future manager. Then I had a telephonic interview, another interview with a panel through Skype and received an offer. Usually there is an in person interview as well at Shell HQO, but they were in a hurry and it was waived off for me.

I applied through recruiting consultancy in March'17. The consultant forwarded my resume to the concerned hiring manager in March itself. After that i got a call to schedule my functional interview over Skype. This was a 1-2 hr interview totally relating to work experience. After that had to wait for about 3 weeks after which a face-to-face interview was scheduled at their Bangalore office.This was a behavioral interview mostly to test our personality traits. I was fairly confident that both my interviews went well. But i didnt hear from them for about a fortnight. At this stage i have given up hopes of going any further. Despite following up periodically with the consultant who forwarded my resume i was getting no info at all . However after about 3-4 weeks of my F-F interview received a call from the consultant asking me to send the details of my current CTC,awards & appreciations i have received which i did. After another 20-25 days got a call, this time from Shell HR to discuss my choice of work location and CTC expectation. After another 2 weeks a final offer was made to me.
To sum it up the entire process takes a minimum of 3months can extend beyond that very well. The interview experience, the attention to detail given even for mere applicants was very good. It was really good and professional experience.

The functional interview was totally based on my work experience as i was from an Oil Marketing Company. They went into details of all the work i have done . The behavioral interview tests your personality traits. You can find those questions on Google which are for the most part pretty standard.
