      J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Severn Trent (Coventry, Angleterre) en déc. 2018

      Appalling experience dealing with their recruitment team. Initial date was suggested for interview via email also asking me to also consider another role. I confirmed my availability for original role and interest in the other role via email and telephone conversation. Email received within a couple of days promising confirmation of interview date later that day. Then I hit radio silence for nearly two weeks. The interview date I had confirmed availability for and rearranged my diary around came and went, no reply to voicemails or emails asking for an update. Two weeks later I had an email simply asking if I was available the next week for interview and I replied to say yes and that I could be flexible to suit them. I had received another job offer by that time but given the company had just appeared in Glassdoor’s top 20 in the area I was keen to see why, particularly as my experience hadn’t reflected that so far. I received an interview confirmation within a couple of days via email which was for the second role, not the one I’d been originally asked to interview for. Turned up early, if you weren’t local you’d have no idea there was no onsite parking, I’d suggest they let people know as driving round Coventry city centre looking for parking isn’t going to help anyone’s nerves! I was kept waiting in reception for over 30 minutes which seemed odd. The interview was competency based and followed what seemed to be a set format. They gave me sufficient time to answer questions, although I sensed some frustration which made more sense when it turned out towards the end of the interview that they didn’t know I was attending until reception called the hiring manager to say I’d arrived. I explained I had an offer on the table and I indicated I’d been having some problems with communication from the recruitment team, but they promised to get me some feedback and an indication of whether I would progress to the next stage by the end of the week. I haven’t heard a thing from Severn Trent since. This was at the end of 2018. No feedback, no follow up, no interview for the role they initially offered me a date for. To be fair I didn’t chase it up as I was so gobsmacked by the lack of communications all round I accepted the offer from another company. I would strongly suggest if you are interested in working here you apply through a recruitment agency and don’t put yourself through the stress of trying to communicate with them directly.

      Thank you for your review, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. We’ve taken some time to look back at this set of interviews. As you mention, it is was back in December 2018. Unfortunately, at that time, it did take us longer than usual to go through the interview process, which is understandably frustrating when you’re looking for a new role. We want everyone who has an interview with us to have a great experience and we’re sorry that yours was not what we would have wanted it to be. Throughout 2019 we have worked really hard to speed up all of our processes, and we’ve worked extensively on our candidate experience. We’ve taken steps to make finding nearby parking as easy as possible for our candidates. This is one of the major improvements we’ve made from candidate feedback we’ve received since December 2018. We’ve also worked on improving the information we send our candidates before their interview. We aim to give applicants the information they need, and clearly as possible, so candidates can prepare effectively ahead of the day. We have looked at the communication with candidates for roles from back in December 2018, and our records show we had contacted everyone applying for these roles, so if we have missed anything in contacting you, please let us know as we’d like to put that right.
