Applied directly to recruiter via mutual connection. Immediate phone screen with recruiter. Recruiter scheduled phone interview with hiring manager for two days later. On the day of hiring manager interview, I received an email from the recruiter 30 minutes prior to the scheduled call stating she was cancelling the interview because my desired compensation was not in range with their target. I stated that I was still interested in the opportunity. Over the next few weeks, I reached out to the recruiter multiple times stating that I was still interested in the opportunity. I came across another opportunity at the company and reached out to the recruiter. She stated her colleague would reach out to me. I was then in touch with recruiter #2 asking to schedule a phone interview for the same position recruiter #1 had cancelled. Phone screen with recruiter #2. Recruiter #2 scheduled phone interview with Customer Experience team member. My expectation was a phone interview with the hiring manager. Phone interview went well. Interviewer stated I would likely speak with the hiring manager next. A few days letter, I received a generic Jobvite email stating that the company decided to explore other candidates. I reached out to recruiter #2 for more specific feedback from my interview. No response.
