The subsequent video interview with the hiring team felt more like a conversation than an interrogation, which made it easy to discuss my experience and fit for the role. There was one interview with the talent acquisition, and the next step would be with the supervisor in the area I applied to in my field of work. I never got a call back for a second interview. I was surprised I was not picked based on a reference from a colleague who works for SCI. We both had the same job before SCI, and technically, I had more work experience, being older than her in other work, and I did not qualify for the second interview. We both were puzzled and disappointed to say I needed more experience, which again did not make sense. I think they care more about a certain degree than hands-on work experience.
