Applied online and was contacted the following day. The questions the recruiter asked were standard and my background seemed to match what they were looking for. I was scheduled for a virtual interview with the hiring manager the following week. The hiring manager ended up being almost 20 minutes late to the interview and she tried to blame it on the recruiter. It was pretty clear she forgot. The role ended up being very technical, not what I discussed with the recruiter which was pretty surprising. She was instantly annoyed and condescending. Not sure what happened, but it seems odd I was passed to the next round if I didn’t meet the basic qualifications…The whole thing felt very unprofessional and ended up being a waste of my time.
